Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 3:17-18
The Trinity is a revelation of our one God consisting of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Through the Spirit of God and Jesus within us we are able to interact with God.
With the Spirit within us we are now freed!
Freed to conquer sin. Freed to obey God. Freed to proclaim the gospel. Freed to live for Hm. Freed to worship Him. Freed to live and grow. Freed to love because God loved us first.
Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 3:14-18
For a very long time the nature of man has been addicted to blindness.
Judaism as seen today is founded on the Pharisees.
The Talmud authored by the Pharisees is required to explain the book of Moses.
The reason Jews don’t believe in Christ is because they follow the Telmud which denies Christ as Saviour.
The same gospel saves everyone in the world the same way.
Our desire and prayer should be as written in Romans 10:1 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”
Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 3:12-16
The New Testament is more glorious the the Old Testament as it contains the gospel, that is the good news! The Old Testament only points to something to come, the New Testament shows us the manifestation of God through Jesus.
We do not follow the commandments to be saved, Jesus is the only door to salvation!
Jesus fulfilled the law and only used the law to show us we were sinners and needed Him.
If you are on a different road you are on the wrong road! Fear and following rules do not change you only the gospel will transform us to be like Jesus.
Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 3:1-11
Letters of commendation have been in place for a long time. For example John wrote a good report on Demetrius in 3 John and Paul on Onesimus in Philemon.
In the second letter to the Corinthians Paul is writing a letter of commendation about himself.
God alone can make us sufficient to serve Him.
Without Christ we are never sufficient.
Christ strengthens us.
We need the grace of God every day.
Let Christ be our inspiration and example. He is our glory!
Pastor Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 1:14-24
Seeing Jesus work through us is an exciting thing and seeing that work permeate in others is exhilarating. (Romans 12:10)
There is no greater joy than to serve God. The more you do for the Lord, the more you will want to do.
Jesus is our perfect example, the author and finisher of our faith.
He was willing to go to the cross and the joy before Him was us! (Hebrews 12:2)
Paul says the same, all the work he did would be for the joy of seeing the Corinthians well in Christ, he was committed to them. (1 Corinthians 1:20, Romans 15:8-10)
Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 1:12-15
There is no perfect church.
People will always divide.
In Christ we are all children of God.
We can still rejoice in one another.
As Jesus says, the gates of hell shall not prevail!
Are we rejoicing in Christ and with one another?
Frank Guglielmo
2 Corinthians 1:3-11, Psalm 103:8-11, 2 Peter 3:9
Following Christ in this world will bring you suffering. In the midst of the suffering there is comfort in Jesus.
He is able to succour us throughout the suffering as we grow in Him through it.
The Holy Spirit within us is called the comforter and just like Christ is comforting us trough tribulation, with this comfort we can comfort others. Jesus said, ” in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; i have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Keep following Christ with Him near you as your comforter!
Alan Parry – Luke 7:11-17
Jesus performed miracles to prove who He was, to use them as a picture of what He was trying to teach and because He had compassion on people.
Those who had miracles performed on them obeyed Jesus and did what He asked.
We need to do the same, obey and do!
Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 1:1-2, 1 Corinthians 4:16, Romans 5:1-2, 1 Peter 5:5, Philippians 4:4
Grace and peace is the blessing of the second letter to the Corinthians. Paul needed Timothy to help his work. What about us? We are called to commit our lives to do the work of God. You need to be a member of a church and serve God together!
Every person in the church is needed, can we be trusted to represent the ministry of our church?
With grace supplied from God, you can do the work!
Alan Parry – Psalm 19
Put on the lens of the Word of God and you will clearly see His way!
Frank Guglielmo – 2 Corinthians 1:1-2, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Matthew 10:1-14, John 2:16-19, Luke 10:1, 2 Peter 3:15, Acts 15:12, Ephesians 2:19-20
The twelve Apostles were chosen, named and sent out by Jesus with the power given to them to heal and perform miracles.
Paul too was called by Jesus to be an apostle to the Gentiles. (Acts 9:15)
The apostles went forth in faith, trusting Jesus, taking nothing with them, to spread His Word. They did exactly what Jesus asked of them.
Be ready to be called by God, trust in him and move, working for Him!
Learn from the apostles, do we go where the Lord leads us? Live for Jesus!
Frank Guglielmo – 1 Corinthian 3:10-14, Romans 13:8, Luke 2:46
Jesus knew his mission at twelve years of age and was busy doing his Father’s work.
Just like Jesus we should be busy about our Father’s business.
We are called to deliver our story; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Frank Guglielmo – 1 John 4:14-17, Luke 11:13, Revelation 2:2, Ephesians 3:17
Since God saved us, He loves us and cares for us!
Therefore we should make God first in our life, do we plan the things of God in our daily TO DO List?
God is our boss, we work for the best boss therefore we need to be the best employee we can be for God.
We are called to produce love through the works of God that keeps multiplying and lasts forever, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement and hear the words “well done my God and faithful servant”.
Frank Guglielmo – 1 John 4:7-12
Children have the characteristics of their parents.
If we are God’s children then we take on God’s traits.
God loves, do we? Do people see the love of God in us? Do not live a life of regret – Love!
Frank Guglielmo – 1 John 4:7-21, 1 John 2:2, Hebrews 11:24, Romans 13:8
You can never pay your debt to God, we are as filthy rags and all our works are unrighteous.
Only Jesus paid our debt fully. Not only did he pay our debt, He filled us with His righteousness.
We have no debt now, only to love one another.
Frank Guglielmo – 1 John 5:7-8
Frank Guglielmo – 1 John 5:4-6
This sermon focusses on the cooperative work of the Son of God and the Spirit of God from the very beginning in the salvation of man. Each plays a vital role in saving us and securing us. The blood of Christ cleanses us and the Spirit of God indwells and seals us unto the day…
The law and the prophets were the record of the Son of God and His interactions among us, and it was the Spirit of God that delivered us the words through Moses and the prophets.
The question of whether your life will be victorious is not really about you but about Him. You see, its not by our effort that His power is realised but as Jesus said, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
