Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! Not only is salvation the first expression of faith by an individual in Christ, through the gospel message found in the scriptures but the on-going study of the Word of God is essential to growth and maturity. As part of our church culture, we encourage the reading, study, meditation and discussion of the scriptures in every ministry and also encourage each person to spend personal time in the Scriptures and in prayer.
Below are some ministries that include the study of God’s Word.
Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting
Our Wednesday evening prayer meetings commence at 7.00 pm and involve a 30-40 minute devotion directly from the Bible presented by the pastor. The devotion is livestreamed via YouTube. After the devotion a time of prayer is undertaken via Zoom.
Afternoon Bible Study and Fellowship Lunch
Faith Baptist Church holds a fellowship lunch together followed by a church Bible study during certain months of the year (see our church calendar under events for upcoming dates). The focus of the studies relates to the theme of the annual church conference held at the beginning of the year. The studies focus solely on the Word of God in the form of discussions, questions and answers, videos. Come along and fellowship with us over a meal and be blessed by the Word of God. Bible studies are put together and led by Pastor Frank Guglielmo.
Mens’ Bible Study Meeting
This is a meeting for the men of the church to learn what the Bible teaches about them being leaders in the home and the church. They meet on a Saturday morning during certain months of the year (see our church calendar under events for upcoming dates).
Ladies’ Meetings
The Ladies of Faith Baptist Church, meet regularly to study the Bible in depth. They meet on a Saturday afternoon during certain months of the year (see our church calendar under events for upcoming dates). A book from the Bible is studied over one or two years depending on the length of the book. Study material is put together by the pastor’s wife who leads the study as well. This a ladies only meeting, no children under 12 allowed, as we study the Bible intensely.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church for primary school aged children is held in the morning service during the sermon time. During Children’s Church the study of God’s Word is studied in topics or as stories from the Bible. Stories are read straight out of the Bible, with a focus on a key verse followed by a question and answer time and concluding with a craft to solidify what has been taught. Children get to take the craft home to remind them of what was taught. Some topics the children have studied in the past include, The Armour of God, Animals of the Bible, the I Am’s of Jesus and Creation. All lessons are taught using the King James Bible.
Young Adults Meetings
Faith Young Adult Fellowship for young adults from the ages 18 to 40 meets monthly on a Friday evening at 7.00p.m. A devotion from the Bible is shared aiming at topics that are relevant in todays age for Young Adults. A deep discussion follows with many questions answered directly from what the Bible has to say.
Discipleship Studies
Discipleship Studies are important for new believers to begin the process of laying a firm foundation in understanding their faith. The studies utilised are from the Christian Growth Series provided by Positive Action For Christ, a four part series titled “Milk”, “Meat”, “Bread” and “Fish” and the Disciples In Deed program for those wanting more in depth studies. Lessons are held twice a month after the Sunday morning service via Zoom and are led by the pastor or the elders of the church.
