When Love Takes On Flesh

Isaac Badry – 1 John 2:1-11
Walking in the light is the mark of a Christian.
God’s love entered history and suffered for us, this is the same way we need to show love for one another.
(James 1:27 James 2:1-4, Galatians 3:28)
Faith is love in action and love is the outpouring of faith.
(James 2:14, Galatians 5:6)
Are we Christ’s disciples?
Do we love as God loves us? (1 John 5:2-4)
If we don’t have affection for our brothers and sisters in Christ how can we have affection for the lost?
(1 John 3:16, John 13:35, Philippians 2:3-8)
Let us love Christ and one another as Christ loved us!

When Truth Becomes Treason

Isaac Badry – Mark 6:17-24
What is truth? The definition of truth is “that which corresponds to reality.”
Truth confronts the idol of self. Truth is easy when your culture, society or friends agree with you. Truth is hard when you know you will be silenced. Truth is most true when it’s most costly.
Christ defines truth. Christ is the embodiment of truth. Christ is the definition of what is real. Christ is our King and Lord. Many hated this truth throughout history and it is still hated today. Who will you serve, self or God? May we stand for the truth! Will you stand for Christ and share the gospel?
