2 Corinthians Series – Part 29 – Receiving God’s Word

Frank Guglielmo
God restores His people when they receive His truth, repent of their sin and renew their love for one another.
We are called to show love and concern for each other, to cry with those who cry, rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.
True love makes us enter into each others’ sufferings. Speak the truth in love to one another, it may be difficult but perfect love casts out all fear.
Open rebuke is better than secret love … (Proverbs 27:5) and it will strengthen others.

The Promise Of God’s Presence

Chris Hustler – 2 Peter 1:1-9
God keeps His promises always!
In Christ we have the promise of salvation, prosperity, pain (suffering for his sake), comfort, compassion and courage.
The promise of Jesus being with us should comfort us; be of good cheer! John 14:15-18, 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17, Psalm 23:4, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.
Does the promise of God’s presence move us to feel compassion for the lost? Matthew 9:35-36
Wherever we go the Lord goes with us; He will never leave us nor forsake us! Deuteronomy 31:8, Psalm 27:1, 2 Timothy 4:15-18
